CSM Corner gets his clasp

Written by SI Abigail Talbot

The Cadet Force medal is presented to those who have served as an Adult Instructor in the Army Cadet Force for 12 years and the first clasp is awarded after 6 years, totalling 18 years in the Army Cadet Force.

CSM Corner was presented his first clasp by Colonel Richardson on 23 Ocotber 2011. “CSM Corner has always taken such pride in the ACF and in helping Cadets to fulfil their achievements, it was a great pleasure to present him with the first clasp to his Cadet Force Medal.” CSM Corner enlisted into the Yorkshire ACF in 1992 and was promoted to CSjt in 1997, in 1999 he became Platoon Commander for Northallerton and he transferred to Somerset ACF in 2002. He continued to work hard and was appointed CSM in 2003 and has been awarded a Lord Lieutenant’s Certificate for Meritorious Service in 2007.
